With another month of regular season action having come and gone, it's time to name my player of the month. It's a bit of a tough one, because honestly, we just weren't quite good enough through October — we only scored two goals, and both…
September was a strange month — we only lost the once, but we never looked particularly enthralling on the pitch for any extended period until we hit Chivas USA for four. At times, we looked a little lost; despite any promise we showed, we…
Ah, it's that time again: I ought to name a player of the month for July, so this is exactly what I will do. First, though, let's look at our options, make an educated decision, and name a player. Let's have at it. Let's start from the…
Right, unlike last month, I've not forgotten to do name a player of the month, but given the way things have gone, it does seem rather a hard nut to crack, doesn't it? Let's briefly review our matches in June and we can see just how…
Naming a player of the month is always difficult when said month has had more than its fair share of ups and downs. April is no exception: three wins, two losses and a draw. Ick. We beat the Rapids (hooray!) but lost to San Jose (oh….)…

Right, then, it's time to name the Forward of the Year. I contemplated calling this the 'Striker of the Year' award, but I've opted for the more playing style-neutral term, as we've got an array of styles in here. While we didn't have a…
Rather that continue with my typical wild gesticulation in the form of the printed word, let's just get on with this, shall we? I'm naming my Midfielder of the Year, and I've got a lot to say about our boys in the middle of the park. When…
When I decided that I needed to name a defender of the year, only one name came to mind, and it's only sort of a name. With that, you can guess, but if you can't or refuse to for some reason, it's Borlave. But as that wouldn't really be…
