A bit of a short one today, as I'm off on a long drive and will be missing tomorrow's match (though I will be, of course, watching it — I'd have it no other way excepting being there). Anyhow, excuses out of the way, let's talk Champions…
Editor's note: Kreg Asay is back once again with an overview of the power rankings for the week. We've once again seen RSL drop in the standings, although it's quite interesting to note that, if we get back to our winning ways, we could…
It's been a bit of a slow week, hasn't it? Or at least it's felt like that. I suspect it may be partly me, but sometimes, these midweek drawls are too much. As such, I turn to statistics to see me out of the matchless rut. A bit twisted,…
A bit late, this one, but you do know what they say about being a day late and a dollar short. Anyhow, given that I'm constantly talking in formations, I thought it may be nice to give my approach to written formations (of the 4-4-2 sort)…
How does that song about changes go? Ah, no matter. We saw plenty of them last night — including, surprisingly, a change to our formation in a 0-0 draw to the Philadelphia Union. We may have been perhaps a bit lucky — or skillful, maybe…

Such were our dire straits in the last few weeks that a 1-0 win would have been a massive improvement in form. That our 2-0 win last night in the CONCACAF Champions League was celebrated as heavily as it was is no surprise. It was, barring…
The lights go up on the big stage tonight. The CONCACAF Champions League. The reason, ostensibly, we kept our group together. The reason we haven't restructured our squad. The prize for which we fight. It all comes to a head tonight. The…
I think we're all a bit sore from Saturday, but time marches on as it ever does, so let's go over some things in advance of the Tauro match. I'll frame all this in quotes from Kreis, Johnson and Beckerman, all of which are from interviews…
